Bionow Invites Member Input on UK Life Sciences Procurement Maturity
Bionow recently took part in a roundtable on procurement maturity in early-stage life sciences companies, alongside industry associations, government and investment stakeholders across the UK. As part of this ongoing work, we are inviting members to contribute to a short survey to help build a clearer picture of procurement practices across the sector.
While scientific innovation and investment are critical, strong commercial capabilities — including procurement — play a key role in helping companies grow and scale. In life sciences, effective procurement supports better decision-making around suppliers, budgets, risk, compliance and partnerships. Where this capability is underdeveloped, it can lead to inefficiencies, increased risk and challenges in maintaining investor confidence.
The survey will help inform the development of a free programme of support, including practical tools, templates and guidance tailored to early-stage companies. It takes less than three minutes to complete, is fully anonymous, and there is an option to receive a summary report to benchmark your organisation against peers.
